In August 2015, the Pat Harrison Waterway District in cooperation with the George County Board of Supervisors filed a Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit Application for the proposed Pascagoula River Drought Resiliency Project with the USACE Mobile District.

August 2015Pat Harrison Waterway District in cooperation with the George County Board of Supervisors filed a Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit Application. The Applicant submitted an Environmental Assessment for the proposed project.
September 2015USACE Mobile District, the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ), Office of Pollution Control, and Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) issued a joint public notice concerning the proposed construction of the two water supply lakes.
March 2016USACE Mobile District issued a letter to the applicant stating that it intends to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement as part of the permit evaluation.
